The Mättivor energy complex is heated with district heating from AGRO Energie Schwyz AG. It primarily uses yard and wood waste to produce electricity. However, the waste heat generated is not simply released into the atmosphere but distributed to industry and households in the region via an underground district heating network. This also applies to the Mättivor development.
